Cabo Bachelorette Party Itinerary — A Real 3-Night Plan, Hour by Hour

Cabo bachelorette packages · Itinerary

The three-night plan · Los Cabos

A Cabo bachelorette itinerary you can actually run.

Friday landing to Monday flight, hour by hour — with the pieces we run ourselves priced, and the pieces we don't left honest.

First decision

How many nights do you need?

Three or four. Everything below is written for three nights — Friday to Monday — because that is what most groups end up choosing.

Two nights

Too short

An expensive way to spend most of your time in a van. One dinner, one hangover, and you're back at the airport.

Three nights

The sweet spot

A welcome dinner, a day on the water and one night out, with a slow day in the middle. This is the plan below.

Four nights

If you're flying far

Buys you a second slow day, or a day in the other town. Worth it if the flight is long or the group is large.

Five or more

The group splits

Past five nights people start making their own plans. Nothing wrong with that — just don't plan the whole week together.

Cheapest time to come: September and early October, when the town is at its emptiest. It is also hurricane season, and we would rather say so here than let you find out in August. From November the town fills up and does not empty again until after Easter. December 31 and the week around it book out months ahead.

Friday to Monday

The itinerary, hour by hour.

Times are approximate and the order is the point. Where a price exists it is our own, from the same price book the builder charges from; where it doesn't, we say so instead of guessing.

Friday

Arrival · the welcome dinner
Before you land

The villa is stocked and styledGrocery $1,030 · decor $200

Groceries delivered and put away, and the welcome decor up before anyone walks in: 40 balloons, a gold bachelorette sign and helium accents. The full grocery list is on the packages page, and the wider catalogue lives at our grocery delivery service. Doing this on Friday afternoon instead costs you the first half of the trip.

12:00–15:00

Flights land at SJDRound trip $220 SJD · $240 CSL

Los Cabos International (SJD) sits on the San José side. Reckon on roughly 20–30 minutes to a San José del Cabo address and 45–60 minutes to Cabo San Lucas, traffic depending. One private SUV takes up to 11 with luggage; the round trip is $220 to San José and $240 to Cabo San Lucas, and past 11 guests it is a second vehicle. SJD has more than one terminal — worth checking which one your airline uses before you plan the pickup.

16:00

Pool, robes, the first round

Don't book anything here. People arrive on different flights, someone's bag is late, and the first two hours in a villa are the ones everyone remembers anyway.

19:30

Private chef dinner in the villa$600 per meal

A taco-party dinner, a mimosas brunch or a custom menu, cooked and served in your kitchen for up to 12 guests. Dinner at the villa on night one also means nobody is negotiating a restaurant for ten people on a Friday.

21:30

The barman takes over$300

Four hours behind your own bar plus a full margarita buffet. If you want the tequila properly explained rather than just poured, we also run an in-villa tequila tasting as a separate service.

Honest note

Do not plan a night out on arrival day

Every version of this weekend that goes wrong goes wrong because someone put the club on Friday. Saturday is the night out. Friday is the villa.

Saturday

The water · the big night
08:30

Slow coffee, then brunch

If you booked a second chef service, this is where the mimosas brunch goes — same $600 package as a dinner. Otherwise the pre-stock covers it: eggs, bacon, granola, bagels, fruit, fresh orange juice.

11:00–14:00

Three hours on a yacht$1,600

Up to 12 guests, snacks and drinks aboard, round-trip transfers from the villa included. Boats leave from the Cabo San Lucas marina and the usual run goes out past Land's End to the Arch, Pelican Rock and Lover's Beach. Whether you can get in the water at any given spot is the captain's call on the day — the swell on that corner changes constantly, and we won't pretend otherwise.

14:30

Back to the villa, late lunch, nap

Three hours in the sun costs more than people expect. Build the gap in rather than discovering it at 19:00.

16:00

Massages by the pool, optional

Our in-home spa service brings tables to the villa. It is priced on its own site, not here, so we are not going to quote you a number on this page.

18:30

Getting ready

Allow two hours for ten people and one good mirror. This is the block that always runs over.

20:30

Dinner outRides $120 per night

In San José del Cabo, the Gallery District and the streets around the plaza are walkable once you are dropped there. In Cabo San Lucas it is the marina and the streets just behind it. Either way, a table for ten on a Saturday needs to be asked for in advance — tell us where you want to eat and we will do the asking. Nightlife rides are $120 per night per vehicle, door to door, with $45 added when the return is after midnight.

23:00

The night out

The noise is in Cabo San Lucas: the beach bars on Playa El Médano — The Office on the Beach, Mango Deck — and the downtown rooms a few streets back, Cabo Wabo Cantina and El Squid Roe among them. Opening hours, cover and table minimums change by season and we are not going to publish numbers we would have to keep correcting. Ask us the week of your trip and we will check.

Honest note

Nobody drives

Add the after-midnight return to the booking before you go out, not from the pavement at 01:30.

Sunday

The slow day
09:30

Breakfast at the villa, no alarm

Coffee, fruit, eggs, gallon water and Gatorade are all in the pre-stock for exactly this morning.

11:30

Pick one beach, not three

Chileno Bay and Santa María Bay, both on the corridor between the two towns, are the sheltered ones people actually swim and snorkel in; Santa María is the barer of the two, so take shade, water and anything else you'll want. Playa El Médano in Cabo San Lucas is the one with bars and service attached. Playa Palmilla sits on the San José side. Costa Azul, further up, is where the surf lessons are. Not every stretch of this coast is swimmable — the open-Pacific side, including the beach beside the Arch, is not, and it is worth asking locally before anyone goes in.

14:00

Tacos, somewhere with a plastic chair

The best meal of the weekend is usually this one and it is not one we cook. Both towns have them; ask whoever is driving you.

17:30

Sunset

Sunset is a Pacific-side event, which means Land's End, the marina or anywhere facing west. Sunset cruises run out of the Cabo San Lucas marina by the handful — operators, boats and prices vary enough that we'll quote you one rather than list them.

20:00

The long table

A second chef dinner is the right way to end it: everyone at one table, in the house, with nothing to organise. Same $600, and the builder will add it to the split for you.

If you have a Thursday

San José's Art Walk

The galleries in San José del Cabo's Art District open late on Thursday evenings during the high season. It is genuinely good and genuinely seasonal, so check the current schedule before you plan a night around it.

Monday

Departure
08:00

Pack before breakfast

Villa checkout times are set by the owner, not by us. Confirm yours when you book, because it decides this entire morning.

Flight minus 3 h

Be at the airport

Three hours before an international departure is the sane target, and more in high season. Working backwards: leave a Cabo San Lucas villa about three and a half to four hours before the flight, a San José villa about three.

On the way

The return leg is already paid for

The $220 or $240 airport line is a round trip, so the Monday run is in it. The driver who dropped you off is the one who comes back.

Second decision

Where to stay, by group.

We don't rent villas and we don't sell hotel rooms, so none of this is us steering you at our own inventory. It is what the weekend above needs to work.

01

Villa, not hotel

A hotel gives you rooms. A villa gives you a kitchen, a pool and a table long enough to seat everyone — which is where this weekend actually happens.

02

San José del Cabo

Quieter, closer to the airport, better for a group that wants long dinners and a walkable old town. Transfers are the cheaper of the two.

03

Cabo San Lucas

The marina, the beach bars and the clubs, with the boats leaving from your doorstep. Louder, and you'll walk home from the night out.

04

The corridor between

Big quiet houses and the best snorkelling bays, but you will be in a car for every single thing. Fine with a driver booked; painful without.

One thing to settle before you sign anything: a few communities — Montecristo and Novaispania among them — do not let outside chefs in and require you to use their own. Beautiful houses, but the kitchen is not yours, and half the plan above depends on the kitchen being yours. Send us the address and we will tell you what it allows. Our chef, barman, grocery, yacht and decor packages are priced up to twelve guests and the airport vehicles carry eleven with luggage, so past twelve we add a second chef, a second vehicle or a bigger boat — easy, but easier with notice.

The money

What the weekend costs.

Our own prices, in USD, as the builder charges them. Flights and the villa are yours and are not in any of these numbers.

Change any of it and the split changes. Take only the chef and the airport rides and the same weekend is $890, or $89 each. That is the whole point of the menu on the packages page: you set the dates and the headcount, tap the pieces you want, and watch the per-guest number move before you commit to anything. Reserving takes a 30% deposit.

Logistics

Getting around Los Cabos.

The two towns are about 20 miles apart along one highway. Almost every bad hour of a Cabo bachelorette happens in that gap.

01

Book the airport run

Pre-booked and paid, round trip, one vehicle for up to 11 with luggage. Don't build the arrival around ride-hailing — availability in Los Cabos has been inconsistent, and airport pickup in particular is not something to count on.

02

Taxis aren't metered

Agree the fare out loud before anyone gets in, and expect it to be more than it looks. For a group of ten, one booked vehicle beats three taxis on both price and patience.

03

Between the towns

Roughly 30–40 minutes each way on the corridor highway, longer at rush hour or on a cruise-ship day. Plan one crossing per day, not three.

04

What is walkable

The Cabo San Lucas marina and downtown, and San José's historic centre, are both easy on foot. Everything between them is not. Flat shoes for San José's cobblestones.

Tipping is customary in Mexico and the usual range people work to is 15–20%; gratuity is not included in any of our package prices, so bring small bills. We'd also rather you drank bottled or filtered water all weekend — the villa pre-stock includes gallon and bottled water for that reason.

Sunday, honestly

The hangover day.

Every real itinerary has one and most published ones pretend it doesn't exist. Plan it on purpose and it becomes the day people talk about.

Protect the morning. Nothing before 11:00, and nobody has to explain themselves. The one thing worth doing early is drinking water, which is why the pre-stock carries gallon water, bottled water, Gatorade, coconut water and fresh orange juice rather than only tequila.

One activity, maximum, and it should be flat. A sheltered bay — Chileno or Santa María — where the water is calm and you can lie in it. Not a second boat day. Not a 4x4 tour booked at 02:00 by whoever was still awake.

Let the food come to you. This is the day a chef in the villa earns the fee twice over: a late brunch or an early long dinner with nobody driving, nobody queueing and nobody chasing a bill for ten. Add it in the builder and the per-guest number barely moves — $600 across ten people is $60 each before tax.

Massages, if you're going to do them, go here. Sunday afternoon, by the pool, is the slot that works. Our in-home spa service is priced on its own site.

And leave the night loose. If the group wants a second night out, fine — but book the ride, not the table.

Before you fly

What to actually pack.

Food, drink, decor and the bar are already handled. This is the rest of it.

01

For the water

Two swimsuits per pool day, a cover-up you can sit down to lunch in, reef-safe sunscreen for the protected bays, a hat, and motion-sickness tablets for whoever needs them on the boat.

02

For the nights

One outfit you'd be happy to be photographed in, and shoes you can stand in for four hours. Between November and March the evenings get cool enough to want a layer.

03

For the town

Flat shoes — San José's centre is cobblestone. Small bills in cash for tips, which are customary and not included in our prices.

04

Admin

Passports and whatever the current entry rules ask of your group — check them close to the date rather than trusting a blog. Travel insurance if your dates fall in hurricane season.

What you can leave at home: snacks, mixers, party cups, bagged ice, sunscreen for the villa, and anything decorative. The grocery pre-stock covers the first four and the welcome decor covers the last — both itemised on the packages page. Bring the personal things: the sashes with names on them, the photos, the playlist.

About this plan

The questions it raises.

Straight answers. The pricing questions are answered on the packages page.

Can we run this itinerary on a Thursday-to-Sunday instead?

Yes, and the shape holds: arrival night in the villa, the water day in the middle, the night out the evening before the slow day. The only thing that genuinely moves is the Art Walk in San José's Gallery District, which is a Thursday-evening, high-season thing — if your Thursday is the arrival day, that is a reason to land early rather than a reason to skip the welcome dinner.

How far ahead do we have to book the services in this plan?

Less far than you'd think. We have put a chef in a villa with eight hours' notice. What genuinely needs months is the handful of dates the whole town wants at once — December 31 above all, and the week around it. If your weekend falls there, write now, not in November.

Do we need the yacht day?

No, and it is the single biggest line in the weekend at $1,600, so it is the one worth deciding honestly. It is what the Saturday is built around and what most groups say they came for. If it goes, replace it with a long beach day at a sheltered bay and move the chef dinner to Saturday night — the builder will show you exactly what the split drops to.

What is in this plan that you don't run yourselves?

The villa, the flights, the restaurants, the clubs, the beaches and the sunset cruises. We run the chef, the barman, the groceries, the decor, the yacht charter and the vehicles — those are the lines you'll see priced on this page. Everything else we'll happily book, ask about or drive you to, but we are not going to publish someone else's prices or hours as if they were ours.

Villa or hotel, really?

Villa, for a group. But check the community's rules before you sign: a few — Montecristo and Novaispania among them — require you to use their own chef and will not let ours in. Send us the address and we'll tell you what it allows.
